Finally, you can read the chronological collection of poetry that George has been writing all his life. This book, called An Offering of Poems, can be found here.

In July 2026, the Homocystinuria Foundation Network recognized him for discovering the disease.

In October, Wills Eye Hospital Alumni Society honored him with their leadership award at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Meeting.

AAO also presented him with their highest honor, the Laureate Award.
