This year George will be accepting many awards.

In July, the Homocystinuria Foundation Network will be recognizing him for discovering the disease.

In October, Wills Eye Hospital Alumni Society is giving him their leadership award at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Meeting.

AAO is also giving him their highest honor, the Laureate Award.
