Ophthalmic Surgery: Principles and Practice
A book in some ways similar to that written by my father , Edmund B. Spaeth “Principles and Practice of Ophthalmic Surgery", Lea and Febiger., Philadelphia; Four Editions in the 1930’s and 40’s. His was the surgical textbook used internationally. Mine played the same role during its three editions, but not as powerfully. The first edition of mine was the best of my editions, and the only one dealing with instruments, techniques of holding them, timing of surgery, anesthesia, and similar details.
